The Cross of Calatrava is a symbol used by the Order of Calatrava and the Order of Montesa (the latter in black), as well as by the Dominican Order. It consists of a Greek cross (formerly a Latin cross) with four equal red arms and a fleur-de-lis at the ends. This cross appears on numerous coats of arms and flags of cities in the Campo de Calatrava region.
In the Order of Calatrava, it was black until the 15th century, when it changed to red.
