Medieval French gorget
This is a wearable reconstruction of a French gorget from the 13th century.
The original was displayed in the Wallace Collection and can now be seen at the Parision Louvre.
It is described thoroughly in Sir Guy Francis Lakingin's book "A record of European Armours and Arms through Seven Centuries".
The gorget features pairs of decorative brass rivets. The inside of the gorget is blackened to prevent corrosion. The used material is your choice between polished or burnished carbon steel, or stainless steel. Stainless steel is not suitable for combat, as it is fragile and would be damaged very easily. Also the choice of the thickness of the steel is your choice, between 1mm - 1,2mm - 1,5mm - 2mm.Our products are also suitable for buhurt, recommended thickness 2mm.
