The "klappvisor" or klappvisier was a type of visor employed on bascinets helm from around 1330–1340; this type of visor was hinged at a single point in the centre of the brow of the helmet skull. A mail curtain (aventail or camail) was usually attached to the lower edge of the helmet to protect the throat, neck and shoulders; If you choose the helmet in the burnished version, also the camail will be burnished. All our helmets are suitable for historical re-enactment parades, exhibitions and above all buhurt (heavy combat), in the latter case it is necessary to choose the 2mm thickness. These medieval helmets are produced in Italy by expert Italian blacksmiths and craftsmen, for generations we have passed down the art of producing helmets and armor, using the best raw materials.
