Medieval Gauntlets - Milanese Plate Gloves
Replica of steel gauntlets of the Milanese Avant Armour from 1440 AD. All parts are fully flexible and handmade of carbon steel. Two strong leather straps are additionally attached. We recommend wearing leather gloves below the gauntlets. The gauntlets protect your wrists and hands. The steel plates are riveted and articulated, only the thumb stands out from the other fingers. Developed and distributed by Milanese gunsmiths during the 15th century as an alternative to the classic medieval gauntlets with separate fingers.
Our medieval products are suitable for historical re-enactment parades, exhibitions and above all buhurt (heavy combat), in the latter case it is necessary to choose the 2mm thickness. The stainless steel finish is not suitable for medieval combat.
