Medieval Breastplate
The Breastplate is slightly curved to better adhere to the body and guarantee greater protection and it's decorated with raised lines.
The used material is your choice between polished or burnished carbon steel, or stainless steel. Stainless steel is not suitable for combat, as it is fragile and would be damaged very easily. Also the choice of back plate and the thickness of the steel are your choice.
Medieval Breastplate is an artisanal product made manually in Italy, functional and suitable for historical reenactment, LARP and buhurt(heavy combat), in the latter case we strongly recommend the thickness of 1.5mm or even better 2mm.
The Breastplate is customized for the characteristics of each customer, before taking the indicated measurements, it's necessary to wear the clothing that you will wear under the armor, to avoid it being too tight. For heights over 190 cm a surcharge may be required.
Although our armors are custom made, they can be adjusted with the leather straps and their buckles, so as to give customers the opportunity to choose how tight it should be.
Our Medieval breastplates guarantee protection of hips, pelvis, waist, chest, groin, lower abdomen and back while maintaining freedom of frontal and lateral movement. Breastplates remained in use until the 16th century
Measurements that will be specified at the order moment:
- Circumference at breast level.
