In the late Middle Ages and Renaissance, sabatons (also known as sollerets or solerets) were pieces of plate armour that covered the top and sides of the foot. They were commonly worn by mounted knights to protect their feet against blows from enemy foot soldiers.
The wearable articulated Sabatons that we offer here are based on historical findings. They are hand forged by expert Italian blacksmiths and craftsmen, in carbon steel, blackened inside for better corrosion resistance and equipped with leather straps riveted on the underside.
They have no sole, the tip changes for each model, the choice is yours as to which one you prefer.
All our sabaton are suitable for historical re-enactment parades, exhibitions and above all buhurt (heavy combat), in the latter case it is necessary to choose the 2mm thickness.
These medieval sabaton are produced in Italy by expert Italian blacksmiths and craftsmen, for generations we have passed down the art of producing helmets and armor, using the best raw materials.
