Reproduction of a shield belonged to the Knights Templar.
The official seal, best known and most widespread among the Knights Templar, was the one that portrayed them two riding on the same horse.
This emblem, which at the time of the accusations and persecutions made against the Order was interpreted as a clear allusion to sodomy, in reality was intended to represent the spirit of brotherhood and poverty that had characterized the Order since its foundation.
Furthermore, it had another meaning, on a deeper level: it symbolized the duplicity inherent both in the nature of the Ord.
