This chainmail coif fully covers the shoulder and features the authentic historical square cut. We recommend wearing a headdress underneath.

FRM Weave: This is a European flat ring chainmail weave, produced and used in various forms and with different ring diameters from Antiquity to the late Middle Ages.

It is composed exclusively of flat chainmail rings.

The rings and perforated rings are linked alternately in a 4-in-1 weave. This weave was and remains less labor-intensive than fully riveted weaves, as only every other ring is riveted.

The riveted rings are secured with round rivets, which form a hemispherical rivet head. We abbreviate this authentic weave as FRM, from the English term "chainmail." Matching round flat rivets.
