The Basinet helmet (English: Basinet; German: Beckenhaube; French: Bassinet) was a helmet used during the Hundred Years' War. It was a typically European medieval helmet, derived from the cervelliere helmet, initially without face protection, later featuring a visor hinged in the center or at the sides. The Basinet was worn with a coif attached to the lower edge of the helmet or over a gorget. This type of helmet is distinguished by the pointed shape of the cup and the slight inclination backwards.

A typical European knight's helmet of the 16th century, worn by men usually in combination with full armor. It featured a movable visor slit for the eyes, a fan mounted on a rotating support, and ventilation holes, as well as an open beard.

The knight's helmet (Armet), possibly of Florentine Italian manufacture, was developed in the 15th century. It was the first helmet of its era to completely enclose the head, and was used in England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

The typical knight's helmet (Armet) consisted of four pieces: the skull, two large hinged cheekpieces that locked at the front above the chin, and a visor with a double pivot, one on either side of the skull. The cheekpieces opened laterally; when closed, they overlapped the chin. Made entirely of steel, handmade and wearable. Made in Italy.

The inside of the helmet features an adjustable leather cuff for easy wearing, and the helmet has a leather chin strap and a steel buckle.
