Articulated protections, attached to the back of the knee by leather straps, these pieces of armor could also be worn by a lightly equipped infantryman, independently. This method of partial borrowing from Gothic or Milanese armor was then a very widespread practice at the end of the Middle Ages.

All our historical reproductions of medieval armor are hand forged from 1 to 2 mm thick sheet metal with a "brushed steel" finish.
